I'm going to play golf! Long time since I've tounh my golf set that I can't even find any of my gear now. I think my dad took my clubs to brunei, or it got sold off or something. I've been thinking whether or not it is something I should pursue. After all it is a grown up/businessman thing to say you're going down to the course to meet clients to discuss some deals over 18 holes. Ah, but I never really liked the sport. Too little energy involed in the actual golfing, more time and energy is spent waiting in the sun for others and lugging that big heavy bag around. Maybe that's why its an old man sport.
I guess much can be said of bowling as well. I recall that when I was in my teenage years training, I would look at the old uncles in the weekly leagues and think how sad it was for them to bowl because they were trying too hard to be good. Their styles were weird, and their averages were low. But now that I'm out of the bowling scene for years, I find myself meandering down that path. Perhaps not the weird styles, but the low averages is a start. Maybe I should spend the summer trying to improve my bowling.
