I was reading the Straits Times, and they were covering a story on the latest cases of Swine flu in Singapore. I feel terribly sorry for the whole family whose day activities was broad casted to the nation. I know that the flu is contagious, but I think that the family should at least have the right to contact those whom they were in contact with, rather than have it plastered across the national paper.
Having said that, I can't believe how irresponsible that family is, taking the flight after showing symptoms (Singaporean mentality speaking). Does everybody think that they are immune to Swine? Like out of the millions of people what are the odds of getting the flu?? Then again, if it were me, I would have done the same thing. After all, job and school are so important in Singapore, it's hard to imagine anything that can ever change that. Even during SARS, and the schools were closed, people were out enjoying the free day. But that was not the aim of closing schools!!! It was to keep you home.
Sigh...
